Old: To Read 2012
It’s never too early to look ahead is it? I’m always looking ahead, and believe me, I’ve been holding off on this page for a while. I made myself last until nearly September before putting this down in black and white. So here it goes.
Along with the books from the NYR 2011 that inevitably “Roll-Over” into 2012 I have some titles that must be added. I’ve held a mental list for a bit now, but it’s getting a wee bit cluttered up there. Here they are:
- Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life - Wendy Mass
- Snow Falling on Cedars - David Guterson
- A Wise Man’s Fear – Patrick Rothfuss
- The Bell Jar – Sylvia Plath
- Jonathan strange and Mr. Norrell – Susan Clarke
- The Wheele of Time Series, (book 4 onward) – Robert Jordan
- The Outlander Series – Diana Gabaldon
- The Rain Wild Chronicles – Robin Hobb
- Timeline – Michael Crichton
- The Help – Kathryn Stockett
- Paradise Lost – Milton
- The Omen Machine – Terry Goodkind (I can’t believe he added more to the story, CAN’T BELIEV IT…GAH!)
- A Dance With Dragons – George R.R. Martin, I was supposed to read this this year but hey I was supposed to read a lot of books this year. And if you want to play the blame game, R.R. was supposed to have written this book like nine years ago! Okay? sigh.
